Tropical Smoothie

The word “smoothie” comes from the English term “smooth” (tender, creamy), and defines a creamy non-alcoholic drink with a thick texture similar to that of milkshakes. Smoothies are beverages containing a blend of fruit pulp, fruit juice, ice, yoghurt, and/or milk.

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 large banana sliced
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • Garnishes: Maraschino cherries lime slices, mint sprigs, pineapple wedges(its optional step)

Instructions
 

  • Place the pineapple juice, coconut milk, banana, mango and pineapple in a blender; blend until completely smooth.
  • Pour the smoothie into 2 glasses and add optional garnishes if desired.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

This smoothie is best when served immediately, as it may separate if stored for a long period of time.
