• Smoothie
  • The word “smoothie” comes from the English term “smooth”(tender, creamy), and defines a creamy non-alcoholic drink with a thick texture similar to that of milkshakes. Smoothies are beverages containing a blend of fruit pulp, fruit juice, ice, yoghurt, and/or milk.

  • This tropical smoothie recipe is a blend of mango, pineapple, banana and coconut milk, all mixed together to create a creamy and refreshing drink. The perfect breakfast or snack option that’s loaded with nutrients and super yummy and quick to make.

Almost everyone love smoothies. I have been experimenting with different flavor combinations, and I have to say, this tropical smoothie recipe is our new favorite! It’s full of tropical fruit with some coconut milk for a creamy texture and richer flavor. You can get all fancy with the garnishes like I did here, or simply serve it as is; either way its 10/10!

Tropical Smoothie Ingredients

To make this recipe, you will need coconut milk, pineapple juice, banana, frozen mango and frozen pineapple.

How to make a Tropical Smoothie?

Put the pineapple juice, frozen mango chunks, coconut milk, banana and frozen pineapple chunks in a blender and Blend until a smooth and creamy drink forms. Divide into glasses, then serve as-is or with garnishes such as pineapple, mint, lime wedges.

Tips for Tropical Smoothie

  • This smoothie is best when served immediately, as it may separate if stored for a long period of time.
  • For a thicker smoothie, try using frozen banana and 1/4 cup less juice. For a thinner smoothie, add 1/4 extra of either pineapple juice or coconut milk.

Flavor Variations

  • One can add other fruits to the mix: try frozen fruit such as papaya, passionfruit puree, acai puree or coconut puree. Some ideas for fresh fruit include kiwi and strawberries.
  • Instead of pineapple juice, you can try coconut water, orange juice, mango juice or banana juice. You can also use vanilla almond milk instead of coconut milk.
