Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

Paneer Butter Masala Recipe is a slightly sweet Indian dish of paneer, originating in New Delhi, in which the gravy is prepared usually with butter (makhan), tomatoes and cashews. Spices such as red chili powder and garam masala are also used to prepare this gravy. A survey found that paneer butter masala is one of the top five foods ordered in India.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 nos Onion
  • as required Water
  • 2 nos Bay Leaf
  • 5-6 nos Tomatoes
  • 1 nos Black Cardoman
  • 2-3 nos Cloves
  • 4 nos Green Cardamon
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 7 nos Cashew
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 3 nos Green Chilli Slit
  • 1/2 inch Ginger Julienne
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1+1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Cream

Instructions
 

  • Cut the Onion and tomatoes into cube size,then add it into the kadhai for sorte.
  • Now add some water, bay leaf, green cardamom, black cardamom, cloves, ginger garlic paste, salt, cashew and cook it for 15-20 mins on low flame.
  • Meanwhile chop onions and tomatoes and kept it aside to use it later.
  • Once the mixture is perfectly cooked, keep that aside.
  • Heat a pan and add oil, butter, ginger julienne, green chilli slit, continously mix it well for 30 seconds.
  • Now add chopped onion, saute it for about 3-4 mins until its colour turned to golden brown.
  • Meanwhile grind the tomato mixture and keep it aside.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes into the kadhai and mix it well.
  • Now add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder and saute it well for about 1 minute.
  • Next step is to add the grinded tomato mixture and mix it well on low flame.
  • After this, add butter and red chilli powder. Close the lid and allow it to cook for 15 mins on low flame.
  • Now cut the paneer in small cubes and chopped the coriander leaves, keep them aside.
  • Time to add cream into the mixture and mix it well for 2 mins.
  • Add paneer and coriander leaves, mix it well for 3-4 minutes.
  • Transfer the delicious paneer butter masala into the bowl and garnish it with some grated paneer, cream and coriander leaves.
